If you have benefits through work or a supplemental insurance plan, it’s likely you have an eye and vision allowance. Depending on your plan, you could claim the cost of an eye exam and money for corrective eyewear. At Optics Vision we make it easy for you to claim all your benefits by offering direct billing to insurance companies.

With direct billing, you don’t need to pre-pay for eye care services, submit invoices to your insurer, and then wait to be reimbursed. Instead, just present your insurance information at your local Optics Vision store and we’ll bill the insurance company directly, so you’re not paying out of pocket for covered expenses.

Please note that while we do accept the Ministry of Community and Social Services (ODSP) and First Nations (NIHB) benefits, currently these benefits are not eligible for online billing

Generally, eye and vision insurance benefits can be used on eye exams, prescription glasses, prescription sunglasses and contact lenses. If you have any questions about direct billing or do not see your insurance on the above list, contact your nearest Optics Vision location. Some locations process direct billing for additional insurance providers.
